Do you trust what you eat?

Food transportation is a critical issue in terms of health and safety. Temperature variations, light conditions, and humidity levels, may cause the food to be unacceptable for human use if not maintained at certain values. Our main focus will be on the meat industry due to its reduced lifespan. As an example, even if the expiry date is not reached, it may have been subjected to ambient conditions which impairs its validity. In our project, we shall be developing an active RFID system that shall be placed within the container of meat shipments. It shall be recording values for temperature, humidity, and light in regular intervals, for several hours. Data shall be checked at the receiving outlet, and shall be cleared for display.
